Places to Visit

National WWII Museum

One of New Orleans’ most distinctive tourism attractions, the National WWII Museums is dedicated to the contributions of the USA to the Allied cause in the largest armed conflict in history. normous pavilions are filled with refurbished planes, tanks, interactive displays, cases of weapons, uniforms, and medals, movies, newsreels, and immersive recreations of bunkers, ship bridges, forests, and jungles. You’ll want to give yourself at least half a day to explore the whole campus.

City Park

Over 170 years old, one mile wide and three miles long comprising a total of 1,300 acres, New Orleans City Park is one of the largest urban Parks in the country. City Park is home to the largest collection of mature live oaks in the world, with some trees over 800 years old.

City Park has so many wonderful attractions for visitors including the Museum of Art, the Sculpture Garden, the Children's Museum and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park as well as numerous outdoor activativities for the whole family.

St. Louis Cathedral

The St. Louis Cathedral is one of New Orleans' most notable landmarks. The oldest cathedral in the United States, this venerable building, its triple steeples towering above its historic neighbors, the Cabildo and the Presbytere - looks down benignly on the green of the Square and General Andrew Jackson on his bronze horse and on the block-long Pontalba Buildings with their lacy ironwork galleries. Truly, this is the heart of old New Orleans.

Mardi Gras World

But for a real, behind-the-scenes look at New Orleans Mardi Gras, there’s only one definitive experience: the Mardi Gras World tour.

Mardi Gras World gives you an authentic Mardi Gras experience all year round, whether you’re here for family vacation, team building activities, New Orleans corporate events, or just on your own to experience the magic of the Crescent City. This all-access opportunity winds you through the massive studio, where artists and architects build Mardi Gras floats from the ground up. You’ll learn about the history of this unique and festive tradition, going beyond its reputation to get a deeper understanding of the REAL Mardi Gras. The whole family will love touring the space where our artisans create show-stopping floats for more than 40 parades each year.

Audubon Zoo and Aquarium of the Americas

The Audubon Zoo and the Aquarium of the Americas are great family friendly destinations. The Aquarium is located downtown while the zoo is located in the historic uptown neighborhood adjacent to Audubon Park.

    Testimonial - Dan

"Six of us spent 5 nights  including New Year's Eve. House was PERFECT for our size group with 3 big bedrooms. The courtyard areas provided a relaxing atmosphere away from the hustle & bustle. We walked to most places - Frenchman's street is right nearby, Jackson Square and Bourbon Street are also walkable from the house. Uber/Lyfts were readily available for further excursions (WWII Museum, Ghost Tour, etc.) House had everything we needed and more, would absolutely book again!"
